Good hair day!
Good Hair day!
Identity is a funny thing. Hair is a huge factor in how we see ourselves and how we are in the world. But perhaps the last of my youthful hair can be useful to someone?! As it starts to turn a corner towards the silver lining its now or never!
It's been a good day for wigs, the hair is off and on its way to the wig makers for those who will be given a hand made wig created from hair donations to children who have suffered due to hair loss for all kinds of reasons, but notably through cancer treatments.
Some of the stories I have read about the children with Leukemia, alongside all kinds of treatments which means they loose their own hair are utterly heartbreaking, so our combined efforts help to retain a sense of identity and hope for those whose self asteem has plumeted feels like the least we can do.
And so the long locks are off! all 17 inches of it.

It's not too late to donate if this is the first you've heard of this, have a look at this just giving page and a couple of buttons later and you'll be helping out too.
